Who We Are

The National Association of Special School Principals is a group of 10 Special School Principals, from across all categories of disability, including Mild, Moderate, Severe, Profound, Autism and Hospital Schools. NASSP seeks to give you the opportunity to voice your thoughts and opinions on certain aspects of Special Schools where you would like to see improvements and/or changes.

To advocate for and represent ALL Special School Principals

We value the expertise and collegiality of members, we strive for equity for our schools and to be treated with mutual respect and integrity.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES: 
  • to be recognised and included by the Department of Education, as a representative body of the Special School sector (NASSP), in all decision making affecting Special Schools
  • to influence Special Education policy
  • to harness the expertise of all Special School Principals to effect change
  • to be recognised as a stand-alone sector within the Education sector
